• Technicians joining our team with previous industry experience may bring with them their years of training and certifications.
• Certifications from Cummins, Navistar, a CDL, and ASEs
• The client is the largest commercial truck dealership in the state of Maryland, and offers full-service truck and warranty repairs for International trucks, Jerr-Dan bodies, Kalmar-Ottawa yard jockies, Cummins engines, and Eaton and Meritor drivetrains.
• Our state-of-the-art facilities and diagnostic equipment support the latest in technology in trucking and provide an environment fueled by innovation.
• Our technicians are vital members of our team and are charged with inspecting, repairing, and/or overhauling medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks with diesel engines.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Inspection and lubrication
• Cab, frame, front axle, steering gear and springs
• Brake System
• Clutch, transmission, and differential
• Diesel Engine Repair
• Engine tune-up, electrical inspection and testing
• Overhaul, major components
• Trailer repairs
• Tool Room (knows proper use of all tools)

Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have their own hand tools and relevant training and/or experience, preferably with medium and/or heavy-duty trucks. Must be self-motivated, team player ready to hit the ground running.

SKILL, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent
• 1 to 4 years related experience
• Mechanical experience of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles
• Saturday Hours as Required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24.04 - $40.00 per hour
